Abacos Relief Update

In addition to raising funds via our "Help Rebuild the Abacos" GoFundMe campaign, Delivery Dudes accepted donations at several drop-off locations around South Florida. And for those who were unable to drop off their donations, arrangements were made to have them picked up.

The response to physical donations has been overwhelming, and we cannot thank you all enough. As infrastructure begins to come back online, the needs of those affected by Dorian has changed, so WE WILL NO LONGER BE ACCEPTING ANY PHYSICAL DONATIONS. Instead encourage you to take part in our GoFundMe campaign.

With the help of our friends at the Downtowner, thirty pallets worth of supplies were packaged and shipped from Ft Pierce (special thanks to McCulley Marine!) by barge to Man-O-War and Elbow Cay earlier this week. This morning, a second shipment arrived at Elbow Cay, which has been largely ignored by the somewhat bureaucratic NGOs in Marsh Harbor and Nassau. Another thirty pallets worth of supplies is scheduled to make its way to the Bahamas this coming weekend.

Michael Albury, the owner/manager of the Conch Inn Marina, is leading the recovery effort on Man-O-War Cay. Albury's focus is on rebuilding the infrastructure necessary to allow a community to rebuild and thrive once again.
